We are facing an unprecedented situation in the United States due to the coronavirus pandemic. Since March 23, Michigan has been under a series of “Shelter in Place” executive orders.

As an essential business that is critical for maintaining the food supply chain, our Michigan operations are exempt from the order. We have remained open and are committed to serving our customers to the fullest.

ZFS and ZFS Ithaca are receiving beans and loading trucks as usual.  Our freight affiliate, Zeeland Freight Services, LLC, continues to serve customers of both operations with on farm delivery and pick-up, as well as delivery of soybean oil to food producers and distributors.

The seed division of Zeeland Farm Services is working with customers as the growing season gets underway, and ZFS grain and ingredients merchandisers are available to help out during these difficult market conditions.

Because the health and safety of our customers and employees is of utmost importance, some additional safety measures are currently in place at our Michigan facilities. Specifically, we ask that drivers remain with their trucks or at the scale booths and follow the guidelines of social distancing that have been issued by the State of Michigan, including limiting direct contact with employees inside the scale house. Our employees have been instructed to do the same.

If you do need to enter a ZFS facility, we ask that you please wear a required face masks.

If you have any questions, please call us at (616) 772-9042. We may not have all the answers, but we are in this together and appreciate your cooperation.

Thank you for thinking of others during these trying times and abiding by our new standards.

We’re praying for a safe and healthy planting season for you and your family.
